5G Automotive Association (5GAA) was created to connect the telecoms industry and vehicle manufacturers to develop end-to-end solutions for the future of mobility and transportation services to enable C-V2X which will integrate to the Cooperative Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS).

Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) allow vehicles to communicate with other vehicles and infrastructure, such as traffic signals, that are fitted with the same system. Drivers then receive alerts about upcoming hazards and traffic signal information.
